List of Master’s program in 2019
Specialty 1-31 80 01 «Biology» refers to the profile of education «Natural Sciences», the direction of education 31 «Natural Sciences» and provides a master's degree in biological sciences.
Upon admission to the second stage of higher education (magistracy), the results of the entrance exam on BIOLOGY are taken into consideration in persons having higher education of the first degree in the following specialties: 1-02 04 01 Biology; 1-02 04 04 Biology. Additional specialty; 1-02 04 06 Chemistry. Additional specialty; 1-02 04 07 Biology. Valeology; 1-31 01 01 Biology (in the directions); 1-02 04 01 Biology and Chemistry, 1- 02 04 02 Biology and Geography.
Persons having higher education of the first degree in other specialties participate in the competition taking into account the results of passing additional examinations, the list of which is determined by the institution of higher education in accordance with the recommendations of the educational and methodological association for natural science education.
The normative term for obtaining a higher education of the second stage in the daily form is 1 (one) year for persons who have studied under the programs of the first stage of higher education for 5 years or more. For those who studied at the first stage of higher education for 4 years, the normative period for obtaining higher education in the second stage is 2 years.
The main areas of research
• higher, secondary and specialized special biological education;
• biological systems of different levels of organization (ecosystems and their constituent elements, humans, animals, plants, fungi, microorganisms);
• physiological, biochemical and molecular basis of functioning of biological systems (molecular, biochemical, biophysical, genetic, immunological, physiological, population and evolutionary processes, ontogeny and individual development of organisms);
• protection of Nature.
Further educational opportunities for M.Sc. graduates
The Master's program provides preparation for mastering the postgraduate educational program in the following specialties: 03.01.05 Physiology and biochemistry of plants; 03.02.01 Botany; 03.02.03 Microbiology; 03.02.04 Zoology; 03.02.05 Entomology; 03.02.07 Genetics; 03.02.08 Ecology (by branches); 03.02.12 Mycology; 03.02.13 Soil science; 03.03.01 Physiology; 03.03.04 Cell biology, cytology, histology.
Specialty 1-31 80 06 «Chemistry» refers to the profile of education «Natural Sciences», the direction of education 31 «Natural Sciences» and provides a master's degree in chemical sciences.
When applying for higher education the second stage requires the presence of higher education of the first degree in the following specialties:
1-02 04 01 Biology and Chemistry; 1-02 04 04-01 Biology. Chemistry; 1-02 04 06 Chemistry. Additional specialty; 1-31 01 01-01 Biology (research and production activities); 1-31 01 01-02 Biology (scientific and pedagogical activity); 1-31 05 Chemistry (by directions); 1-33 01 01 Bioecology; 1-33 01 02 Geoecology; 1-33 01 03 Radioecology; 1-33 01 04 Environmental monitoring, management and audit; 1-33 01 05 Medical ecology; 1-33 01 06 Ecology of Agriculture; 1-33 01 07 Environmental protection activities (by directions).

The Master's program provides preparation for mastering the postgraduate educational program in the following specialties:
02.00.01 Inorganic chemistry; 02.00.02 Analytical chemistry; 02.00.03 Organic chemistry; 02.00.04 Physical chemistry; 02.00.05 Bioorganic chemistry; 02.00.11 Colloid chemistry; 03.02.08 Ecology (on branches) 03.02.09 Biogeochemistry; 05.16.08 Nanotechnologies and nanomaterials (by industry).
Specialty 1-31 80 02 «Geography» refers to the profile of education «Natural Sciences», the direction of education 31 «Natural Sciences» and provides a master's degree in geographical sciences.
Upon admission to the second stage of higher education (magistracy), the results of the entrance exam for GEOGRAPHY are taken into consideration for persons having higher education of the first degree in the following specialties:
1-31 02 01 Geography (in the directions); 1-33 01 02 Geoecology; 1-56 01 01 Land management; 1-02 04 02 Biology and Geography.
Persons having higher education of the first degree in other specialties participate in the competition taking into account the results of passing additional examinations, the list of which is determined by the institution of higher education in accordance with the recommendations of the educational and methodological association for natural science education.
The normative term for obtaining a higher education of the second stage in the daily form is 1 (one) year for persons who have studied under the programs of the first stage of higher education for 5 years or more.
For those who studied at the first stage of higher education for 4 years, the normative period for obtaining higher education in the second stage is 2 years.

• higher and secondary geographic education;
• regional demographic problems;
• geographical bases of local lore and tourism;
• regional geographical problems of sustainable development.
Further educational opportunities for M.Sc. graduates
The curricula of M.Sc. degree studies prepares students for further enrollment into post-graduate (Ph.D.) studies in the following specialties: 25.00.23 Physical geography, biogeography, geography of soils and geochemistry landscape; 25.00.24 Economic, social, political and recreational geography.
