Dear Dr. Naumenko:

I confirm herewith that Dr. Vitaly Kovalenko was in The Netherlands for a research visit during the period October 23 through November 6.  He divided his time between Syncom BV in Groningen, the company with which I am associated, and AMOLF research institute in Amsterdam, where he worked with Dr. W. Noorduin.   Dr. Noorduin and I work together on a project also of interest for Dr. Kovalenko.   Dr. Kovalenko did research that is of much use both to him and to us.

Both Dr. Noorduin and I were impressed with Dr. Kovalenko’s capacities, enthusiasm and capacity for hard work.  It was a pleasure to have him here.
